"Rise and shine, lads," Hale's voice echoed into the dark tent as he pulled the zipper up. The chilly morning air hit the boys hard, who tried to snuggle deeper into their sleeping bags. Liam and Alim felt like they were in a grip and blinked groggily at each other; they had ended up cuddling at some point during the night. "But the sun's not up," Liam groaned, looking out through Hale's burly legs.  "Sorry, captain's orders," Hale said, without implying the obvious about the pair being rather too close to one another. There were times Liam and Alim had to wonder if Hale knew about their secret. If he did, he didn't care or he would have told William something. Neither thought it a good idea to ask, just in case Hale didn't know at all. Alim sat upright, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. Tim was already on his feet, fully dressed since he had fallen asleep during storytime. Unlike the other three, who would rather whine about being woken up so early, Tim was a morning person.

"C'mon, what happened next?" Liam asked eagerly, the flames flickering across his coffee-brown irises as he leaned dangerously closer to the campfire. The glow illuminated his freckles and danced with his chestnut-brown hair when a gentle breeze came through. "No, please stop," Sebastien whimpered, his olive-green eyes peering into the dark of the woods. With his knees pulled tight to his scrawny chest and held by his arms that appeared to grow paler every passing moment, his posture had exposed his cowardice to the unit. "I don't like it." "Blimey, Bast! It's not even half creepy!" Alim groaned, rolling his honey-hazel eyes into the back of his head. He moved to slap Sebastien across his face, but the younger boy dodged, and Alim barely got a hold of his dirty blond hair. Frustrated, he glared at Sebastien, ignoring the jet black locks of hair that swung over his forehead. The last of the boys, Tim, sighed heavily at the drama. Exhaustion was creeping into his cerulean-blue eyes
